Wildflower Seed Balls - Whimsicals By Desito
These seed balls are handmade in the UK using clay and peat-free compost, giving the seeds the nutrition and protection they need to germinate. Each ball contains approximately 30 seeds which provide a mix of 11 native wildflowers such as foxglove, red campion, forget-me-not, red clover, cornflower, wild marjoram, musk mallow, purple loosestrife, birdsfoot trefoil, viper’s bugloss and yarrow. 12 balls will cover an area just over 3 x 1 metre. Flowers April – September.
How to use:
Simply scatter your seed balls directly onto soil or pop in pots of compost with balls 10cm apart. Water on dry days. Sprouting takes approx 4-6 weeks.

Tips:
The best time to scatter seed balls is in Spring and Autumn.
Seed balls contain a mix of annuals and perennials. Annuals scattered in Spring will flower that year, creating seeds to grow and flower the following year. Perennials will flower the following year and come back every year.
Seeds have different germination times and temperature and soil type can also affect germination. Try scattering the balls in different locations to find which soil they prefer.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Use before the date on the base of the box.
