Remember November

Remember November

There’s a sort of quietness about this time of year. The light slips away earlier each evening and we find ourselves lighting the fire, putting on our pyjamas sooner and snuggling up on the sofa.
Somehow, the world outside seems to exhale - bare branches against soft grey skies, the very last few golden leaves clinging on.

Mid-November often goes unnoticed, tucked quietly between early autumn’s colour and Christmas’s sparkle. But if we pause, just for a moment, there’s actually something deeply beautiful about it. It feels like a chance to savour the slowing down, to enjoy the quiet before the festive music begins (which I do of course really, really love). I suppose it’s the perfect time to really lean into the comfort of the season - hot drinks, woolly socks, something baking in the oven - and to be gently reminded that not everything needs to be sparkly and busy yet.

It’s easy, especially when running a small business or simply keeping pace with social media, to look far ahead, beyond the month we’re in. Here at Ava Loves Rosie, we need to plan for Christmas and this time of year is our busiest (or that’s the hope - I never like to take it as a given). But yet these quiet late autumn days are here just once a year. The light wont fall in quite the same way again this year. Sometimes I find myself rushing through November and yet…there is magic in now and I’m determined to try and soak some of it up this week.

I hope you have a lovely week and that a little November magic finds its way to you.
